Clean and Simple Day 4

When I was on Danielle Daws blog (http://www.danielledaws.com) this morning, a card she made with white on red caught my eye, and it was similar to the lesson by Julie Ebersole in class today. It’s not too late to register!  ( http://www.onlinecardclasses.com) I created this card using a few points from both cards

I looked at the thermometer outside today and saw – 40. 40 below! Anyway you look at it,that’s cold! I was so happy to be off today and be able to just play in my studio. I found this great tutorial for the sun rays (http://www.danielledaws.com/2012/10/masked-sunshine-unitytv-episode-82.html) and thought it was a perfect card idea for a cold day. I didn’t have quite the right stuff so my masked off white areas were actually adhesive that I covered with ultra fine glitter after I was done the inking and peeled away the mask backing. Then it was difficult to stamp on glitter but it’s ok, I like the fun colors.

Gradient Stamping

Today’s class had a technique of gradient stamping, blending colors together to get an ombre look

Colors warmer than the weather

The forecast is for -29 tonight and -34 the next 2 nights so need some warm colours to cheer us!

Clean and Simple Masking

I am taking another Online Card Class(http://www.onlinecardclasses.com)

The focus is on clean and simple, I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s masking on her card and created this card. With the exception of the pop dotted greeting, this card is just one layer so easy to pop in the mail.
