The Old Barn

Background created on watercolour paper with Distress ink re-inkers. Drops of re-inker put on an acrylic block and picked up with a paintbrush and applied to wet watercolour paper.

Cattails stamp by Memory Box, all others by Stampscapes

Another shaving foam inked card

Using the leftovers from the card the other day, I made another in same theme. The white flowers didn’t show up well in the marbled ink so I applied wink of stella and it gave them a silvery look. The greeting was covered in Versa mark then pearl embossing powder applied with a heat gun, its really pretty in real life.

I am going to enter this one in Simon Says Stamp weekly Weds challenge too

Orange and Pink Birthday

Distress inks through a stencil with masked off edges, cheerful colors!

Shaving foam and re-inkers

Either alcohol inks or distress ink re- inkers work for this technique, drops of colors are added to shaving foam and swirled through. Photo or glossy paper is placed on top then the excess foam wiped away leaving a marbled pattern below. I have done this in the past but kind of forgotten about it, then Carol Held ( http://www.stampinribbons.blogspot.ca) shared this on Stampnation this past week.

Distress Ink Re-Inkers

I was playing with watercolour paper+ Distress Ink re-inkers. I love bright, vibrant colors so the highly concentrated re-inkers fit the bill. First I taped down the watercolour paper and spritzed with water, then put assorted colors of re-inkers on my acrylic block (this idea from Kristina Werner!) and just picked up color with paintbrush and spritzed water etc. Slowly a scene came to life. I added some stamps that fit, each of them swiped with Black soot Distress Ink Marker and spritzed with water prior to stamping

Simple Sympathy

The first card I sponged Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Shaded Lilac Distress inks thru a stencil then used the same colors of Distress Markers to color the floral stamp from Penny Black then spritzed it twice with water before stamping it. The second card has only the Distress Marker coloured  flower. Two different sizes of “Thinking of you”stamps from Quietfire designs

Happy Valentine’s Day

Using inspiration from Laura Bassen (https://laurafadora.wordpress.com) and combining embossing paste with Distress ink colors through a stencil, I created this Valentine’s card. After the hearts dried, I applied Wink Of Stella clear brush to each heart

I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Alcohol inks and a stencil

I applied alcohol inks through the Memory Box Garden Birch Landscape stencil. It created a serene scene that seemed suitable for a sympathy card

Creative inspiration from Heather

Heather North at http://www.heatherscreativeblessings.blogspot.ca was my inspiration for these cards. I really like the watercolour look with the black trim and stamping…thanks for the inspiration Heather!

Black and white simplicity

I really like the simplicity of this card
