A different type of project today. I found this idea on Pinterest from the Inspired By Charm blog where Michael shows this very simple project wrapping wheat bundles with embroidery floss for a colourful decoration. Since I was decorating my living room for fall, it was a perfect addition!
The challenge on caswatercolour.blogspot.ca is to use a watercolour medium and a silhouette. I used Zig clean color brush markers heavily sprayed with water for the background and a cityscape silhouette. Greeting is one from Quietfire design
I white heat embossed the script background stamp on Bristol paper before adding color. The best wishes Stamp is from Hero Arts set and the vellum butterfly completes the card
This month over at casmixup.blogspot.ca the challenge is watercolour washes. CAS cards are a struggle for me so I am always inspired by the card makers that can embrace the white space. I did a watercolour wash with Distress inks using wet on wet technique. Added a partial stamp of Tim Holtz’s cityscape and made a night scene with the lights in the building and a sunset reflecting in the water. The Congratulations stamp is one by rubbernecker stamps. In order to meet the challenge I did watercolour wash, stamping and my choice which is a shaped scene. I will link this up there
