Stained glass Sympathy card

I used Distress ink re-inkers on an acrylic block applied to watercolour paper for the stained glass.   Poppystamps Gothic Grand Arch for the window and placed them on Spellbinders embossed brick background. Quietfire’s With Sympathy die from Elizabeth crafts to finish

A baker’s dozen!

I watched a video of Jennifer McGuire’s this morning and she inspired me to make a bunch of cards using the same technique with a variety of ink combos and stamps. Now I have a great supply of all occasions

Memory Box’s Butterfly Exhibit over another alcohol inked background   Purple  heat embossed “thinking of you” completes the card

Bright and festive

Here is one more holiday card for the challenge for the day!

Non traditional colors of alcohol inks with Penny Black’s “swirling” tree stamped on top. Additionally Penny Black’s “tree of joy” die cut from black and added.

Joy to you and yours, Penny Black

Another entry into the challenge!

Jewel toned alcohol inked background with Penny Black’s “oh Christmas Tree” silver heat embossed along with “joy to you and yours” from Penny Black’s “Beauty of the Season” set.

From Our Home To Yours, Penny Black

Another holiday card to enter into Penny Black’s challenge. Using another sentiment from their “sweetest moments” set. I die cut the Big Bubble background from Poppy Stamps in black and placed it over traditional festive coloured alcohol inked background.

Penny Black’s Holiday Head Start Challenge

Using a Distress inked background and Agean Silver embossing powder to heat emboss the snowflake background creates a perfect backdrop for Penny Black’s Magic of Christmas stamp from the “sweetest moments” set heat embossed with silver on vellum

I will enter this in the Holiday Head start challengeholiday-headstart-challenge-main-graphic-1.jpg

An icy Christmas card

A Distress Ink swiped background, sprayed with Perfect Pearls then dried thoroughly. Using a beautiful Agean Silver embossing powder that I received from my Aunt Helen, I heat embossed Hero Arts Stunning Snowflakes background Stamp. Cut in strips and placed on silver foil. Merry Christmas die from Quietfire and Elizabeth crafts cut on silver foil as well. It’s difficult to catch the true shimmer of that embossing powder in a photograph

Fall field

On an alcohol inked background, I stamped Hero Arts Silhouette Grass stamp in archival black ink. I then applied clear embossing paste in a wavy pattern for the illusion of wind or movement in the field, not sure if I achieved that! Matted with some dry embossed brown cardstock for texture and mounted on a black card base. Finished off with Quietfire ‘s “With Deepest Sympathy ” Stamp heat embossed in copper

Fall leaves

This is my favourite time of the year. I found these leaves in a bin at Michael’s. They are lightweight and foil topped so I dabbed them with alcohol inks applied to felt on a blending tool. Then I added them to a hemp wrapped wreath. The door frame and screen were from a find at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff in New York on a trip several years ago. Sentiment is from Winnie and Walter, (Big,Bold Seasons)
