Anniversary card

My favourite type of card, Alcohol Inks, northern lights  and silhouette  images

Another card from the bits and pieces drawer

The butterfly border was cut on the Silhouette. The inside colored panel is one I made months ago using alcohol inks in shaving cream technique, it makes a beautiful marbled background for the butterflies to rest against.

Using up bits and pieces

I have a drawer full of card starts that either I didn’t know what to do with them or I made multiples when trying a technique. I pulled this one out, it’s Distress Inks through a stencil. I added a foam hello and put them on a card base for a quick card

5B104E9E-E967-46D6-874B-CB835E5E7653This definitely was not what I planned on but sometimes when I start something, it looks like something else and I just change my plan! Same technique as the previous card this morning. Country skyline cut on the Silhouette. Thank you Stamp from Altenew

Butterfly birthday

C2832F12-AF39-465A-8674-B27F586F943DUsing Tim Holtz Distress watercolour cardstock which is whiter than most watercolour paper, I used Distress Inks through a folk art butterfly stencil. Then put the accompanying script stencil and wiped with a baby wipe. Penny Black’s edge to edge greeting heat embossed on vellum. Edges of all swiped with Versa mark and heat embossed with the same orange powder

Watercolouring with Zigs

Florals from Altenew and Tim Holtz heat embossed with white on mixed media paper then watercoloured with Zig clean Color brush markers   Greeting from Quietfire

Ghost stamping

99E1F225-030E-4C66-BDBE-BC176BB6F199With inspiration from Jennifer McGuire who shared this technique on her blog. It starts with an alcohol inked Yupo background. Then I stamped with archival ink and immediately wiped away the ink leaving a ghost image of the stamp. With the lovely florals and leaves from this Simon Says Stamp set, I thought it perfect for a mother’s day Card. I stamped Quietfire’s greeting with Versamark on acetate and heat embossed in silver

Same technique. Swirl stamp by Inkadinkadoo. Greeting by SSS
