Rebecca’s time in the studio

My grown daughter spent some time in my studio while I was at work and was very productive! She took the Hero Arts Large Flower Pattern stamp and put it to work, coming up with a set of 5 cards using different colors of Distress inks

Layered Embossing and Watercolor Pencils

Heat embossed the background collage with copper then the butterflies with white.Using an idea from Jennifer Mcquire’s blog, colored the background with watercolor pencils and blended with a wet paintbrush.

Post Card

Kraft resist paper, picket fence distress stain to prime it,then broken china, weathered wood and vintage photo distress stains on top

Hot Air Balloons

Using the stamp pad I made early in July(https://bonnielynnsblog.wordpress.com/2012/07/09/rainbow-stamp-pad/ the rainbow stamp pad) these were quick cards to make, staggering the balloon stamps on the large background stamp pad to get varying colours

Misted Embossed Resist

Using Up The Leftovers

I didn’t want to waste the overspray of the Perfect Pearl and Distress re-inkers so I mopped it up with chunky water-colour paper

Playing With Distress Ink Re-Inkers

Put a dropperful of re-inker with a scoop of Perfect Pearls (I used silver) in a mini mister and fill with water, great to create marbled backgrounds. I used peacock feather and picked raspberries for distress ink re-inker colours over a silver heat embossed image

Beauty All Around Us

Distress inks directly on craft sheet and spritzed with Perfect Pearls, chunky water-colour paper dipped in and dried with heat tool and dipped again. Crackle paint on grungeboard for the frame. Memory Box die cut for the fence. I used picket fence distress stain on Hero Arts Antique Flower Background stamp to create that awesome blue background
