Flooded studio

Our town had large amounts of rain in a short period of time earlier this month prompting a state of emergency for two towns. Our basement which has never had water in the 28 years we have been there, flooded with over a foot of water and sewer and unfortunately my craft studio was down there. Except for some stuff stored in lower cabinets, most of my craft stuff was up high enough but is now boxed up. I do have a certain amount of supplies at my camper so created a couple of cards today. One for my Dad’s birthday which I need to find a birthday greeting stamp, and the second one for my niece’s birthday.

I added some Stampscapes… Love the little cabin, I added gold to the windows for light. Greeting embossed in gold on vellum keeps the card from being dark. Stampnation is having a free class on heat embossing and today’s lesson was embossing on vellum

Rainy day at the camper so just practising with the supplies I have with me . Once at home I will finish with stamps or cut these pieces down

30 day colouring challenge

Kathy on “the daily marker” has colouring challenges. A new one starts today so I thought it was a good time to practise on different papers with different mediums

Watercolour on Bristol paper

A while ago, Kristina Werner showed using watercolours on Bristol paper so I was inspired to try it. I really like how the colors float on the paper and blend. This is my second try and I like how it turned out. I think I will be able to add some stamps to make this useable!

Chameleon pens on vellum

I embossed Tim Holtz’s flower garden stamps in gold on vellum  I coloured three of them with Chameleon markers and fussy cut them out and mounted with Kool Tak and added to card.

This is for my mom’s birthday
